zeus Perform

The zeus Perform training programme has been developed as a distance learning course for end-users, buyers, sales specialists and application technicians. The material contains the Knurling Technology compendium, a training video and the exam questions.

 

The programme contains an introduction into the technique, the necessary technical basic knowledge and practical examples with substantial product information. Expert advice for practical problems demonstrate step-by-step how more complex application requirements can be solved.

 

Further information regarding the material options of the knurling wheel, the possible after-treatments and various knurl optimization procedures, can provide the more advanced learner with valuable information.

 

In the second part of the programme, the focus lies on the marking of turned-parts on the (auto-)lathe. The different marking techniques, their characteristics and the different application areas are explained in full depth. The practical knowledge transfer also plays a central part in this section and therefore application examples are given throughout the course book.

 

A unique opportunity offered by Hommel+Keller’s training course is the possibility of taking part in the exam through answering a set of study questions and case studies. Successful participants are rewarded with the zeus diploma for the “Qualified Knurling Technician.” The exam questions can be filled in at any time and represent a good way to check the learning progress.

 

Last but not least, the training video demonstrates step-by-step how to set and apply the knurling tools correctly. In-house Training

In the H+K Perform academy we offer our customers a special learning experience. In our own training rooms we organize customer seminars throughout the year with the topics knurling and marking technology, heat and surface treatments and PVD coatings. The knurling seminars include both a theoretical part, in which the elementary knowledge of the knurling technique and the zeus products is transferred, as well as practical contents and live studies on the machine. Our aim is to equip the participants with knowledge and tools, to improve their own daily work through a better understanding of the knurling and marking technique.
